Great family campsite with the best views! After looking for a campsite that was near a beach but with no noisy amenities we settled on Bay View Farm. Rated one of the top 10 UK campsites it did not disappoint. We are a family of 4 -2 kids 11/13yrs Lovely pitch with amazing views of the bay below. Although busy the space between tents was great, never had to queue for a shower and the site was quiet at night. Be mindful this site is on a bit of a slope! Nice walk down to Black Rock Beach but would recommend taking the car instead if like us you have a load of inflatables, surf boards spades etc!! Just go out of the site to the main road, turn left and I think its the first left again to the large free car park. Café there is good for snacks but doesn't really serve kids food which was a shame. Many travellers have moaned about the showers and toilets however they were clean. A good few cobwebs but other than that I didn't have an issue. The 2 electric showers are the best if you can get in them. Lots of places to get out and see so we never had a dull moment. Loved every bit of our holiday on this site so if you love a quiet site, with no club house/bar etc then this is the place to come. Crack open a beer, sit back and enjoy the lovely views while the kids play. Thanks to Mike and his family who run the site we will def be back.

Amazing weekend :) I'd love to report something really bad, so bad you won't want to visit... that way there will be more availability for us when we want to stay again, because the truth is Bay View Farm is a hidden gem, we've just come back from possibly the best night away we've ever had! I booked a snug for one night for my partner and I for his birthday. I chose Bay View Farm for its proximity to Looe and outstanding views. I don't like camping but my fella does so these quirky hobbit like snugs seemed like a fun compromise. Well, the website does not do it justice, it exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed uninterrupted views across the field, the bay and Looe Island from our snug, and Looe was a beautiful 2-mile walk along the coast. 5 minutes along the route is a bar on the beach at Millendreath, and as we were feeling adventurous and the tide was low, we decided to walk along the beaches and the rocks to Looe rather than continue along the path. We had a few drinks and an evening meal in Looe before getting a taxi back to the campsite (taxi was £12) we could have walked back with a torch but we felt lazy and it was raining. The rain at night added an extra element of cosiness to our warm, dry little snug. We cannot wait to visit again.

Best sea views! The sea views from this site are gorgeous, plus it allows campfires like a proper campsite should! We enjoyed watching the shire horses too. A unique and quirky site that we'll definitely visit again. Lovely walk along the coastal path into Looe itself

One of our favourite sites. Mike runs a great site. This is the second time being here and we love it. The showers are great. One of only a few sights with really big shower cubicles, powerful showers, and plenty of them, I think about 10 of them. Always kept clean when we've stayed (outside of school holidays and bank holidays). Amazing views across into Looe. A steep walk down to the beach but well worth it and a good walk into Looe or to Seaton sands in the other direction. Enjoy an excellent meal at the Black Rock cafe in the evening down at the beach. If you're fit you can walk from the site to Polperro (7ish miles). Mike is a real character and is always friendly and helpful.
